Product Description
The DE10 type belonging to JR Freight Aichi Locomotive Depot was active in switching in the Nagoya area, construction special trains, and towing Class A out-of-service trains. No. 1557 was the only newly updated JR Freight vehicle without the JRF mark on the side, and was the last remaining DE10 type vehicle at Aichi Locomotive Depot. In 2024, its last year of operation, it was loaned to Okayama Locomotive Depot and operated together with No. 1561, but was retired in March 2025.
The DE10 type belonging to JR Freight Okayama Locomotive Depot was active in switching at Kurashiki Freight Terminal and towing direct freight trains to Mizushima Rinkai Railway. No. 1561 was the last remaining vehicle at Okayama Locomotive Depot, and in 2021, in addition to the broken white stripe on the front and black frame, which are characteristic of vehicles inspected at JR Freight Hiroshima Depot, silver decorations were added to the chimney and coupler. Like No. 1557, No. 1561 retired in March 2025, and with its retirement in the area, all of JR Freight's DE10 type locomotives will be retired.
The DE10-1557 model reproduces the appearance of the only DE10-type JR Freight newly renovated car without the JRF mark with the bonnet connecting rubber reproduced in gray.
The DE10-1561 model reproduces the white stripe on the front of the bonnet (unique to the newly renovateed JR Freight cars at Hiroshima Depot), and thh black side of the frame. This model features the appearance after 2021 when the snowplow is black and the chimney coupling section are changed to silver. The bonnet connecting rubber is reproduced in black.
Some assembly is required as the number plate, whistle, and other accessories are not attached.
