Product Description

The Caucasus Beetle and the Moellenkampi Beetle, both belonging to the Chalcosoma genus, are now available as new additions to Bandai's The Diversity of Life on Earth series.

The Caucasus Beetle (Chalcosoma chiron) is the largest beetle in Southeast Asia and is known as one of the strongest beetles in the world due to its intense fighting spirit. For the Ikimono Encyclopedia series, the Caucasus Beetle has been enlarged to an impressive size and the model's range of motion as well as the characteristic metallic color of the forewings have been reproduced with meticulous attention to detail. This exclusive set includes color variations from two regions, the Java region and the Sumatra region.

The Moellenkampi Beetle (Chalcosoma moellenkampi) lives in the Southeast Asia region as well and, much like the Caucasus Beetle, is also impressive in size. Sporting a unique luster, the model produced by Bandai has accurately reproduced the coloring of the specimen as seen in the wild.
