RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Leading overall visionary efforts for the strategic and creative components of select projects; overseeing research, discovery, and creative development efforts; ensuring we create an informed solution that meets the client’s needs; and recommending the “right” total solution when necessary. The Interactive Creative Strategist contributes to the proposal process, writes major parts of the strategy phase deliverable (project strategy brief or definitive strategy document), “voices” the entire deliverable, provides strategy consultation to clients and staff; serves as a major client contact for questions and decisions dealing with project solution strategy; works together with the Project Manager, Art Director, Information Architect, Usability, and Technical Lead in creating and maintaining the project vision; and works with the Project Manager to ensure we do the best possible work while remaining within budget and schedule. The role of Strategist is part of the overall interactive strategy and design team and reports directly to the Chief Creative Officer.

NOTE: This role is directly instrumental in understanding client business objectives, target audience characteristics, and the direct development of creative strategies/solutions to achieve measurable results. This is a solution-oriented, project visionary position. While project management skills are valuable, this is not a project or product management position.

SKILLS: Excellent writing, verbal, presentation, and consensus-building skills; intuitive and analytical approach to problem solving; experience with marketing, branding, information architecture; examples of developing creative strategies that demonstrate clear success for clients; ability to communicate coherently and sensitively with clients, vendors, and staff members; general ability to organize people, projects, and information; and, ability to juggle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: BS/BA degree minimum; 5+ years direct experience as a Creative Director, Strategist, Cross Channel Marketing Director, Brand Director, or equivalent role working with clients on interactive and Web-based projects.
